Together, let's campaign to provide a safer crossing to your local convenience store

The Spar Shop at 65 Preston Road Whittle-le-Woods is the nearest convenience store within walking distance for more than 1,300 nearby residents.

But for 900 of those, young and old, visiting the store means crossing the busy A6 twice. From the last studies available, Preston Road has between 7,500 and 8,000 traffic movements a day in each direction, and around 8 vehicles a minute in each direction between 7 am and 7 pm.

So following concerns raised with me by a local resident, please sign our petition so that together we can add your weight in our call to Lancashire County Council to provide safer pedestrian crossing to the Spar store.
