Many residents have had their say on a bid by the Botany Bay warehouse developers to remove conditions from planning consent that were to broadly ensure that the Hartwood and Euxton Lane junctions were improved to provide more capacity in each direction in the face of of heavier traffic generated from the sites.
The planning application reads:
Section 73 application to remove conditions 29 (off-site highway mitigation scheme) and 31 (off-site highway mitigation phasing and delivery) attached to planning permission 22/01243/FULMAJ (Detailed planning application for an employment development (comprising a range of buildings in Use Classes E(g), B2 and B8), including new access of A674, internal circulation, parking, servicing, landscaping and ancillary works)
Local neighbours to the site have been notified of the new planning application. Lancashire County Council - as a key consultee - have responded by not supporting the developers submission.

The official closing date has passed, but Chorley Council are happy to still receive contributions from the public.
In their consultation letter Chorley Council write:
Comments should be submitted by 7 August 2026 so that they can be considered and taken into account. Comments received after this date, but before the decision is made will also be considered and taken into account.
