Roadside drainage channels being cleared.

Christine, Aidy and John have been determined to bring about an end to the repeated flooding of the 'Cannon; roundabout at the Central Avenue / Buckshaw Avenue junction in Buckshaw Village.

Conversations were already underway as part of the regular meetings Christine and Aidy have with RMG on a range of Village wide issues. Following the latest incident Christine contacted Aidy in his role as County Councillor and asked Aidy to seek the support and advice of Lancashire County Council.

Aidy held an onsite meeting with the Cabinet Member for Highways as well as Senior Officers from LCC.

LCC urgency cleared several blockages around the pond and roadside drainage channels, and are set to engage with both RMG and Chorley Council to ensure proper and robust maintenance and clearing their respective areas of responsibility. Christine and John will continue to liaise with Aidy in his County Councillor role as well as press RMG and Chorley Council to keep the maintenance at the required standard.
