New information shows Reform at Lancashire County Council are failing to fix potholes on time and performance in Chorley is the worst in the county!
In Chorley, between July and September the Reform led county council only fixed 78% of ‘10 Day potholes’ on time and only 81% of ‘20 day potholes’ on time.
Now questions are being asked if Reform are being less than honest when asked about this during a recent Cabinet meeting. When Reform were asked about this at their recent Cabinet meeting, their answer was
“In short, the current reporting system is struggling to keep up with how quickly we are fixing the potholes”.
But in a later written answer after the meeting Reform leadership reported that they:
“… acknowledge that the proportion of defects completed on time did decrease at the end of Quarter 2”.
LCCs own data shows it failing to meet its own on time pothole repair targets in 10 of the 12 districts - with lows of 78% in Chorley and Ribble Valley and 79% in Fylde - between July and September.
Under the Conservatives, the performance data for the same period was 93.7% (10 day) and 99.4% (20 day).
