Town Lane Development - Planning appeal refused

Site of development off Town Lane

Most residents will be aware of the Inspectors judgement published last week with regards to Redrow's appeal to build on land off Town Lane in Whittle-le-Woods. We have been waiting to see an official comment or receive the Councils views on the decision as your Ward Councillors but nothing seems to be forthcoming.

Naturally we are delighted for the village and offer our congratulations to everyone who campaigned, objected to or spoke against this proposal.

We said if elected as you Councillor's that we would;

  • Oppose inappropriate housing developments

and that is exactly what we did, and will do again whenever you need us to do so.

Cllr. Aidy Riggott
Cllr. Christine Turner
Cllr. John Walker
