Chorley Conservatives have confirmed their candidates for this years Lancashire County Council elections.  The Party will be contesting all Divisions.

Conservative Future members help campaign for elections

Chorley Council - opportunity to cut Council Tax missed

Labour Councillors on Chorley council used their majority to defeat a Conservative amendment to the Councils budget for next year. As a consequence hard pressed families will not see a much needed reduction in their council tax bills but will instead be forced to pay extra for borrowed money.Conservative leader Councillor Peter Goldsworthy stated that the decision by Labour not to cut tax but instead to borrow an extra £2millon pounds was a bad day for Chorley Tax payers already struggling with increases in the coast of living.

Chorley Council a top beneficiary of Conservatives' New Home Bonus

Chorley Council taxpayers are a top beneficiary in the amount of New Homes Bonus it has received from the Conservative led coalition. In the latest payment, of 329 councils, Chorley is ranked 94th highest having £739,008 this year, and in latest payments takes almost a quarter of all the New Homes Bonus paid to Lancashire's district councils.

Big day approaches as Chorley Conservatives make their MP choice

Chorley Conservatives are set to meet early in February to interview applicants for the position of Parliamentary Candidate for Chorley.The two-stage process will see applicants being interviewed by the executive body of the local Conservatives, with the successful shortlisted candidates going forward to a general meeting of qualifying members on Saturday 23rd February.
