Lancashire's Conservative County Council acted with overnight works that were necessary to repair the road surface adjacent to Chorley's hospital close to the busy Hartwood Hall roundabouts.
This was amongst several key highway works across Chorley.
The Conservative Government is investing an extra £2 billion into schools this year and next, with every state school in England benefitting and schools in Chorley receiving £2,715,072 in extra funding.
